Christine Price, RVTHospital DirectorChristine Price knew she wanted to work in a veterinary hospital at a young age. In 2004, she began volunteering at local animal shelter as a veterinary surgical team volunteer. In the same year, she began her career as a veterinary assistant in an emergency and critical care facility. This is where she discovered her true passion for becoming an emergency and critical care veterinary technician, and she has continued in the emergency and critical care field for over 20 years. In 2008, Animal Emergency Hospital was born, and Christine joined the Animal Emergency Hospital team. In 2010, she completed her Veterinary Technology degree and graduated cum laude from Delaware Technical and Community College. Christine has a special passion for teaching veterinary technician educational programs, and helping others reach success in the veterinary field.
When Christine is not working she enjoys various motorsports, the outdoors, kayaking, spending time with family, and volunteering in the community. Her "furry" family includes four Labrador retrievers: Liberty, William, Waylon and Johnny Cash, as well as a yorkie named Bridget. Johnny Cash serves as the official therapy dog of AEH! |
Dr. Jennifer Goessling, DVMMedical DirectorDr. Goessling graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She moved to Baltimore the following year and spent 5 years working in general practice before transitioning to (and getting hooked on) ER medicine. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their pets. She became the managing veterinarian at Animal Emergency Hospital in April 2020 and looks forward to mentoring new graduates and other doctors transitioning to ER medicine

Stacie Heinle, RVTPractice ManagerStacie Heinle knew early on that she wanted to be part of a veterinary hospital. Shortly after graduating high school she started her prerequisites to get into the veterinary technician program. In early 2013, Stacie started volunteering in a veterinary emergency and critical care facility to get experience in the veterinary field. It was then that she found her love for emergency medicine. She was added to the Animal Emergency Hospital team the same year as a veterinary assistant. Stacie graduated from CCBC in 2016 with her degree in Veterinary Technology. She passed her VTNE board exam to become a registered veterinary technician soon after.

Kristina OwenVeterinary Team ManagerKristina Owen began her veterinary career in 2007 at a local primary care veterinary hospital. Quickly after her start, she discovered her passion for emergency medicine and critical care. Kristina joined Animal Emergency Hospital in 2009 as a veterinary assistant. She has continued to learn and grow from there and became a senior veterinary technician. What Kristina loves about her team is "We work together as a family and provide the best care for critically sick animals." Kristina also has a special passion for emergency surgical care.
When she she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Her furry friends include a viszla named "Sage," a boston terrier named "Banner," and a chocolate lab named "Goose." She also has a small farm with goats and chickens. |
Lauren Polk
Veterinary CSR Manager
Lauren started her veterinary career in 2016 here at Animal Emergency Hospital as a receptionist. She has since worked her way up to Lead CSR and most recently as our Front Desk Manager. Lauren is very passionate about helping others and their pets, especially in a time of need. She loves both cats and dogs, but has a soft spot for any bully breeds.
When she’s not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with her two boys, as well as her pack of animals including: two pit bulls - Meeko & Minnie, three cats - Bella, Benny, & Billy, and a flock of chickens!

Jacob Taylor, RVT
Onboarding Coordinator
Always having a love of animals, Jacob began working in the veterinary field at the age of 15 as a kennel/veterinary assistant in general practice. After graduating high school, his passion for working with pets led him to a rewarding career as a pet stylist in the grooming industry. Over his 18 years as a stylist; Jacob managed several corporate salons, worked as a mobile stylist, and also as a stylist in a veterinary setting; performing sedated/medical grooms for special needs patients. During his time in management, Jacob discovered his love for teaching, and also became a grooming instructor, helping new stylists hone and develop their skills.
Eventually in 2013, Jacob returned to the veterinary field as an assistant in general practice, while also continuing to work as a pet stylist. In 2015 Jacob graduated magna cum laude from the Community College of Baltimore County with an A.A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology, and passed the VTNE board exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
After retiring from the grooming world, Jacob joined the Animal Emergency Hospital team in 2021 as an RVT and Medical Scribe. As a Medical Scribe, he provides much needed support to our team and the patients we serve by; coordinating patient discharges & transfers, facilitating client communications on behalf of our doctors, and assisting the technician team wherever he is needed. Jacob has also taken on the role of Onboarding Coordinator, providing a guiding hand to new team members throughout their first year here at AEH.
Jacob is a Harford County native and currently lives in Forest Hill with his fiancé and their ever expanding family of furry & feathered children. Together they have three tabby cats; “Oliver, Ozzy, & Lilith”, a rabbit named “Beelz”, “Wyatt” the ferret, and a Green cheek Conure named “Corona.” Jacob’s fiancé also happens to be an RVT, who is the perfect partner for traveling to C.E. conferences and swapping stories about interesting cases. In his free time, Jacob enjoys; hiking, kayaking, reading, and spending time with his family.

Myriam Tacker
Blood Donor Coordinator
Myriam started working at Animal Emergency in 2010. She came to Animal Emergency Hospital after relocating from her time living, working and earning her education credits abroad in Europe and Africa. Her remarkable dedication to emergency and critical care makes her an integral role here at the hospital. As well as teaching new team members, and she excels in her compassion for helping owners and their beloved pets in a time of crisis. Her biggest passions are managing the feline and canine blood donor program, and ensuring the highest quality of veterinary care.
In her spare time, Myriam enjoys hiking, traveling, and giving her personal cats their best nine lives!
