A hospital founded on compassion, for both pets and people.
Our hospital was founded in 2008 on the belief that treating people better leads to better treatment of pets. Our motto is “Caring. Compassionate. Dedicated.” because we know that the key to helping pets is to support not only their owners, but also the amazing people who care for them while they are in our hospital. We strive to empower our team to drive innovation and change, while preserving the foundation of veterinary care and the human-animal bond. We understand the stressors of practice because we are on the floor with you. Our management team not only has many years of combined ER experience, but many have been with us since our inception. A culture of caring.
Our hospital’s strongest feature is our culture. Our motto is “Caring. Compassionate. Dedicated” and we follow that tenet for our staff as well as our patients and clients. We strive to provide everything you need for a happy workplace. "Zen" areas to decompress, cleaning staff and a laundry service to help keep the hospital tidy, and best of all, great staff, many of whom have been with us since the hospital opened in 2008. Our staff is a huge family, and we love hanging out at work events, such as axe throwing or having parties at local breweries. Our favorite events are the ones where we can hang out and raise awareness for community resources, including rescues like Luna’s House, Harford County Humane Society, and Fallston Animal Rescue Movement.

Mental Health
Our hospital puts employees’ mental health first. We do not tolerate poor client behavior toward any of our staff and can offer resources for learning to tackle difficult client conversations. When diplomacy fails, we can handle these conversations for you. We invest in your mental health and offer free TalkSpace subscriptions and Employee Assistance Programs, so that you have access to care if and when you need it.
Highly Trained Nurses
We know behind every great doctor is a great team of veterinary nurses. That's why we ensure every department is fully staffed with highly trained assistants and technicians to support you in delivering the highest level of patient care. We are one of the first in the industry to develop a detailed training and mentorship program that empowers our nurses to learn and grow at their own pace. Investing in our team over the years has not only led to having one of the most successful technician mentorship leveling programs in the industry, but also one of the highest retention rates in the profession. With such a large nursing staff, we know it can be tough to learn everyone's skillset at first, so we make it easy- our nurses proudly show off their tier level on badges for everyone to see. Continuing education is important to us, so even after our nurses complete the leveling program we offer CE, support, and sponsorship to expand their skillset and knowledge. Mentorship
Are you ready to start practicing but not ready to go at it alone? Consider our ER Mentorship programs as the next step along your career path. Whether you are just graduating or looking to transition from general practice into ER medicine, our mentorships are customized to where you’re at right now. We will help you gain the tools and confidence you need, medically and professionally, while making sure you build the foundation to take care of yourself as well.
Our mentorship programs have a flex timeframe, meaning you take the time you need to develop your skills and self-assurance. The typical DVM mentorship program takes 6-8 months to complete. At the end of your program, you will have the skills to approach any new problem with confidence and a plan. More Information on DVM Mentorship >

Work / Life Balance.
We believe that one of the biggest components to making our veterinarians and support staff great is making sure they have time away from work to pursue other passions. Our hospital actively seeks out new technologies being instituted by human hospitals to help make our jobs easier. Some of our upgrades include online check in software for clients/ patients; dictation software for our doctors; and scribes who input medical records, help manage diagnostic result callbacks, and handle other client communications.
